    Programming LC1

    Hi!

I'm trying to get my LC1 to turn the lights on when the mains is connected regardless of whether the lamp was on of off the last time mains was disconnected. I've been using the same procedure as with LC2, but with no luck.

I have no prior experience with these units, can anyone help me out? Smile I don't even know if it is possible to do at all.

To my knowledge it can't be done.

I think you tried [LIGHT] [GOTO] [0] [STORE] [2]

But you'll change the number of the lamp if you use this key combination on an LC1.

For example: the procedure to number the LC1 to lamp 3  is [LIGHT] [GOTO] [3] [STORE]

I guess you'll need to touch the stainless plate at the top of the LC1 or use a Beolink remote to turn it on.

I agree with damatt, I don't think it can be done.

The only thing I will point out is that several commands are different with the LC1 depending if you have a Mark I or Mark II Beolink 1000

When delivered the LC1 was set to receive commands from a Beolink 1000 Mark II, if you want to try changing it to Mark I operation then the command string is

    SHIFT -- LINK -- GOTO -- RESET -- STORE

To return it to Mark II operation the command string is

    LINK -- SHIFT -- LINK -- GOTO -- 0 -- STORE

It should be noted that when you return to Mark II operation all light scene settings are deleted.

    Regards Keith....

Ok, thanks. I use a Beo4, by the way.

    Re: Programming LC1

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me program LC1's with a Beo4. I downloaded the manuals to both LC1 and LC2 and fiddled over an hour and am at my wit's end. Geeked

I have two LC1's and basically would like to program one as LAMP 1 and the other as LAMP 2, as I've read they could be programmed to do, so I could control either one individually. But the key sequence confounds me. The manuals refer to keys that my Beo4 does not have. I have figured out that SHIFT-LINK is replaced by LIGHT, but GOTO? My Beo4 doesn't have GOTO in the LIST (and cannot be added).

Under LIGHT, the options under LIST are LAMP, SETUP, STORE and irrelevant items such as AV, CAMERA, A. AUX and V. AUX.

    Thanks so much.

    Leo

ps. my Beo4 is one of the newer ones, with DVD on it.

    Did you try LAMP (=GOTO)

I'm not sure, but I think the procedure to number the LC1 to lamp 3  is:

[LIGHT] [LIST] to get "LAMP" on the lcd screen, then press [3] [LIST] [LIST] to get "STORE" and the press [GO]

    Hope his works...

    Re: Programming LC1

Thanks, but it doesn't work. I spent over another hour tonight experimenting to no success. Maybe only a Beolink 1000 will do the trick.

Programming light pictures was OK though, after lots of trial and error. I've written down a *very* step-by-step procedure to guide me in the future. Here it is if anyone's interested.

PROGRAMMING LIGHT PICTURES FOR LC1 USING BEO4

Note: No need to press down on stainless plate

    1. Unplug all LC1's in the room except for the one being programmed
    2. Set light intensity to desired level (usually by pressing LIGHT, a number, then UP/DOWN)
    3. Follow this key sequence. Repeat key sequence EXACTLY for each new light picture

       [LIGHT]
[LIST] (hit repeatedly until see STORE)
       [GO]
[the desired number, from 1 to 9]
       [GO]

    4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all desired light pictures for that LC1 is completeted
    5. Unplug LC1 and plug in another LC1 to continue programming

When all LC1's have been programmed, plug them all in and you should be able to call up 9 different light pictures.
