This is my first post here and I just wanted to say thank you for sharing all this knowledge and information here. I've gradually been infected with the Beovirus starting with a pair of Beovox RL-45 with wall mounts.  After discovering a cheap way to restore the ABR foam (using silicon strips and silicon glue) I now have a pair of RL-60 with the original spiral black/read speaker cables, a pair of RL-45.2 and the CX-50.

And after reading this thread, my Beocenter 2800 is finally ready to play! The lifting mechanism was stuck and the previous owner hadn't noticed which had caused the stylus to wear out. I'm just waiting for a MMC20E in decent shape (ordered a used one said to be in good shape online) and then I'm all set!

In fact, I think this Beogram 2400 just might be the first piece of electronics I've ever managed to open up, fiddle with, and then close it up better than it was before.

That little pin was the culprit all right.  NEVER would have figured this out on my own.
