    HELP!?

we are in big trouble....we are house sitting for our friends who have a new black B and O television. last night having enjoyed watching the television we turned it off at the mains over night as we are consicencious about the environment. when we came back to watch the television tonight we were surprised to be asked for a pin number. Foolishly we attempted to guess the pin not realising the consequences.....Now the machine seems to have shut down completely. We are desperate to get it back to normal before they return . will we need to call out an engineer? we would be grateful if anyone can shine some light on this problem..Max and Corrie

With most modern B&O products they have a pin code which has to be entered if the TV is unplugged from the mains power for more than 30 minutes. If you try and guess more than three times incorrectly, you then have to wait a further 3 hours before trying again.

If you do not know the pin code, you will have to call the local B&O dealer. They may not give it to you because you are not the actual customer, but call anyway.

It will reset itself! If you enter 5 incorrect guesses, it refuses to have anything to do with you for 3 hours. It will then let you have another go. Let the owner reset it then! I am sure they won't mind as you have done no damage but saved them electricity!
