I just bought a Beovision MX 5000 from my dad and I have a question:

Is there any way to remove the glass front covering the tube for cleaning?

My dad is a heavy smoker and it hasn't been cleaned on the inside since he bought it in 1990, so it's pretty nasty on the inside.

You need to remove the gloss black plastic strips at the top and bottom of the contrast screen. Pull one end out and the rest should be obvious.

Now remove the 4 screws situated one at each corner of the screen and remove it for cleaning. Take care you don't drop it!
