If I connect a pre-amp and a non B&O cd player to the beolab 5 (line input) is it then also possible to use the beosound9000??

What is the purpose of using a non B&O CD player in addition to a BS9000?

I Want to connect a very good pre-amp nakamichi ca-5e and a nakamichi cd player to the beolab 5 but...I allso  want to use the beosound9000

Is this possible??

It is a little problematic as they would work normally in different ways. The BL5 is designed so it can take line level from other makes and then, using a Beo4, control the volume via the BL5. The BS9000 however would control the volume itself and the BL5 simply acts as a power amplifier. I am sure there is a way and it will probably involve using the remote of the Nakamichi to control the volume when it is attached. However one would normally have different option settings when using the speakers with a non B&O system and this will be your problem.
 

You could completely skip the Nakamichi pre-amp and connect to the CD player to the BeoLab 5s directly. Switching the Nakamichi CD player on would switch the BeoLab 5s over to the digital input, but you would still control the volume through the BeoSound 9000 (I *think*).
