    beogram 3000-2 tuning slide

I need the front of a tuning slide for my 3000-2.  They are parts 33, 34, 35 on the service manual diagram - 3302119, 3190026,3302110

The back and the wheels are present but not the front slide.

In addition, moving the slide does not tune the FM stations but I will not know why untill I have it apart.

I think that there should be a cover for the preset tunning that I should also like - part 52 - 3164052.

Where can I purchase spares for the machine, please?

    Re: beogram 3000-2 tuning slide

I have an old 3000-2 that's beyond repair. You are welcome to have the missing sliders if they are still attached - I'll have to check. I'm going away in a few days so if you don't hear from me drop me a PM & I'll pick up on it when I get back.

    Where are you?

    Steve

I still need the parts for my amplifier-tuner as Steve has been unable to help.

Does anyone have a Beogram 3000-2 that does not work but is complete that they would be prepared to sell, please?

    Re: beogram 3000-2 tuning slide

i may be able to help.

i will be starting a 3000 resto shortly that will include replacement of some of the slides from a broken 4400. i will chk your listed part numbers against my manuals, but i *believe* they are identical...

i'll let you know what i find / can part with.

    are you in the states?

    ++++edit++++

my 3000 and 4400 are in different locales. the 3000 is next to me -the tuning slide does appear to be similar, though from memory -the 4400 tuning slide that i may be able to offer seems "thicker." btw, the manuals do show them as slightly different...

i'll let you know when i have them together what is viable...

    Re: beogram 3000-2 tuning slide

Peter, apologies. I did dig the unit out and put it aside as another job to do but alas it's still in my todo pile!  Will will take it apart and send you the bits FOC. I'll try to do it tonight or at least this week.

    Re: beogram 3000-2 tuning slide

    well...

hope you two work it out -as the more i look at the 3000, the less likely i thk that the 4400 slide would work for you. the tuning bar seems much thicker on the 3000.

w/ regards to my project -i am in the unfortunate situation where the slides that i need for my 3000 are the non-wheeled ones (vol/treb/bass/bal) and i have to mod the 4400's to fit in two different planes. (make that three planes -if the thk is indeed different! uggh!)

wish stonk was in the states -as i could use the slides that peter doesn't need... lol

oh well, good luck! and let us know how it works out!

    Re: beogram 3000-2 tuning slide

Burantek, I now have removed the tuning slider for Peter & will post it to him tomorrow. Now I have it in bits you are welcome to have the remaining ones  - balance, treble and bass. The volume slider is missing the front but I will include what remains in case it's useful for your project. PM me your address & I'll put it in tomorrows post. Don't worry about postage costs to the US - there's very little weight.

Peter, the transparent plastic cover for the presets is no longer available and very hard to find even on good beomasters. This was discussed on the old Beoworld site and somebody made one from parts of a clear CD jewel case if I recall. Not sure how but the pictures looked good.

    Re: beogram 3000-2 tuning slide

You may wel find you have a problem with the flexible circuit board at the back of the tuning presets.

The copper tracks develop micro-breaks and this stops the tuning diodes from getting the necessary bias voltage.

If it hasn't got this fault yet, its likely that when you poke around in there and flex the pcb this fault will develop.

All you need to do it to find both ends of each track and bypass them by connecting the ends together with a piece of insulated flexible wire - instrument wire is fine.

I would bet a few of this series have been trown away because people didn't know how to sort this problem out, its pretty easy to do but quite fiddly.

    Hi Jeff,

Glad you got them & thanks for confirming they arrived safely. Good luck with your project.

Peter, did you get yours? I can only assume not as I've not heard otherwiseSad
