    November 2nd Prize Winner

    Hi All,

     

    Just wanted to let you all know that the serene is UNREAL!!!! A big thanks to Beoworld for their generosity and support.

    Glad you like your Serene, I love mine still, after a year and a half.
    In the UK, the word 'unreal' is often used to describe something is really good, as Tom points out. Strangely, the word 'wicked' has a similar meaning.
    My seventeen year old pupils often say something is bad (which means good!)

    In Boston, 'Wicked Pissa' meant totally awesome, really good (or equivalent).  Also, when visiting the UK back in 86, kids were calling things 'Wizard' if it was brilliant. Go figure.

    'Wicked Pissa' would be considered an offensive statement, but quite a compliment to the recipient in the UK..

    Languages, don't you love 'em.. and we both speak English!! Crazy..
