Welcome to Beoworld, we are pleased to have you as a new member.

I am assuming from your comments that you swapped the battery from one of your working Beocom 6000's ? Please confirm.

Assuming that the battery has been swapped, then to move forward I need to know what version Beocom 6000 you have, either a Mark I or Mark II

A Mark I has a DOT on the button at the 9 o'clock position of the centre dial and a Mark II has the letters INT in that position, which is yours ?

    thanks for you reply.

    i have the Mark l

no i didn't swap batteries and here is why.  The unit now is illuminatingly the info window but without any text or info of any kind.  Totally blank, but illuminated.  the clicking sound of the rotating dial is there.  will not work as in dial tone or any other function.

do you still think i should switch the battery?

i tryed to turn it off - nothing.  it won't do anything but click when you rotate the dial.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Based on your last posting I would say that you either have a reduced cell in the battery or the display driver on the module has failed. Therefore I would take the following actions:-

    1. Reset the handset by doing Dot,7.0.0.0.9 OK  then OK. Do be warned that this will remove you contacts listing in the phone, but if the phone has got itself in some kind of software hang up, then this will solve it.
    2. Change the battery for a known good one from one of the other handsets.
    3. If the above does not fix the problem, then you have almost certainly got a hardware fault on the phone which will require the module to be replaced .

    Regards Keith....
