Whatis the difference between the Beotalk 1200 and 1100

    Hello,

Owning the Beotalk 1100, I was wondering what are the pros and cons of making a move to the newer version, known as 1200.

What are the new features and upgraded functionalities available on the 1200 ?

    Thanks for your reply.

The main differences between BeoTalk 1100 and BeoTalk 1200 are:-

    • Personal Announcement has been replaced by the option of recording names in the telephone book
    • You can record 50 names in BeoTalk 1200 which will then say the name of the caller when they call
    • BeoTalk 1200 has extended speech time with the total speech time is now 15 minutes instead of 10 minutes
    • On BeoTalk 1200 new Caller IDs plus new messages have merged in one key namely "News"

Thanks Keith for your quick and detailed/acurate answer. Now I know the difference between those two modeles.

I like the  caller feature that says the name of the caller. I heard the price in the UK were very high, I am wondering how much it will cost in France.

    Guy,

If you want the extra features of the Beotalk 1200, you may wish to consider just changing the module in your Beotalk 1100.

There is just one module in the unit and the spares are still available for the Beotalk 1200. The module for the Beotalk 1200 for the UK has a part number of 8000804 and is available from the B&O dealer for around £90 (140 Euros)

    Regards Keith....
