I am wondering if anybody has tried connecting a beogram CD (4500, 6500 or 7000) directly to the AUX link socket of a TV (MX or LX series). I would expect this to work since datalink is transmitted from TV to the beogram CD. In this case TV should be configured to Option 2 so that pressing CD will activate the beogram or Option 1 in which case AV CD will do the trick. Any experiences welcome.

I tried with a Beogram CD 6500 and a MX 3000, but it didn't work

If you use a AVX1 Expander, then it will work with a MX5000/3000 and LX2802. Even Tape and Radio will work.
