    Lovely BC6 in Maastricht

    Hi,

this was originally a private message for JK1002 but for some reason I could not post it:

Hi,seems you and I are in somewhat similar situation. I also have disappointed when trying to buy non-b&o stuff. Because of many reasons.I also love Apple, but even their latest iMac is not a TV for everyday use (for adults, at least). I wouldn't like a TV to dominate a room and therefore I feel that even 7-32 is biggish. 8-32 looks MUCH smaller in real life.

I just visited Maastrich, Netherlands and there saw a BIG apartment in a nice house downtown by a river. First floor, Michelin star restaurant, Upstairs, apartments. From a bridge one could see inside the second floor apartment; super nice, big living room and BV/BC6 in front of the window. Although a small TV, it was just PERFECT for the huge and very hip and cool apartment. Sofa and chairs were fairly close to the window so taht the viewing distance wasn't too long.

My point is that especially for small rooms and for everyday news/grey's anatomy watching even BC6-26 may be enough and sure looks nice.

Now, I can get 20% off from BC6-26...

BV8-32 (with system module and a stand) is about the same (I get about 10% of).

A dealer out of town said on a phone today that he has one 7.32 (silver) he wants to get rid off - I'm guessing he will offer 20% off, but I do not know the version-probably MkI( Since he says the DVD can't do JPEG's)

    What do you think?

I think at 20% off I would consider both BC6 and BV7. I would probably do BC6 and add a projector and screen down the line.

How much is the viewing distance and how much TV do you really watch?

I would go for the BC6 in your case. I think you can live well with a 26" screen for your TV use. I would prefer the BC6 to BV8 because it is made of higher quality materials (glass, aluminum), because the sound of the BC6 is better IMO and because it simply looks better.

I would also go for the BeoCenter 6. My favourite B&O TV Smile
