I have a 2.5 year old Beovision 7 - no HDMI inputs, but does have HDi input - and want to connect a MacMini.  Has any one any success with this and is it possible to control the MacMini via the STB controller.

 I'm sure I've seen threads on this before, but cant find any.  Any advice would be appreciated.

is hdi dvi ? if so just use a dvi to dvi cable - the pic should be amazing - sound will have to go through an av amp ( using the headphone out on the mini ) as dvi doesn't carry audio signals

The sound cable is connected at my Mac Mini to a simple splitter.

From the splitter it goes one way to the Beoport, and the other does go to the L + R connections at the back of the BV7.

No amp required.
