I still have them somewhere.

Re: Se*iest B&O speaker - design only
beo-ap: I am surprised by the inclusion of the BL3500. I own one and have a chance to see it every day. While it does not make it to the top of MY list, I have to agree that this speaker is just about perfect. Elegant, timeless, and understated are words that come to mind with the 3500. It could use a bit of an update, and the sound could be better. But I digress this is a thread about visual design, not engineering.
Can't believe I missed that one. Yes they deserve a place on my list. - Beovox 2500 cubes: Small but very, very beautiful.
- Beoab 8000: In a word: Iconic.
- Beolab 2500: They look so good with a Beosound 2300.
- Beovox 3000/4500: The simplest of the flat panel speakers.
- Beolab 4000: I just love that elliptical shape. Gorgeous.
- Rondstraler: Not well known perhaps. I tried to find a picture, but failed so far. It looks like a perforated metal cylinder.
- Beolab 4: So simple and yet so different. Sound is not that impressive by the way.
- Beolab 5: Perhaps a future icon. The design may be an acquired taste as they are visually very present, but I still love them.
- Beolab 3500: Stereo speakers in a single horizontal column. Great idea for Link speakers.

I paid £35 for those on ebay in september. They look very nice with my RL60 and my BC7700.

Yes Andy, that's exactly what I mean. In Holland it was called the Rondstraler. I am not sure but I believe in Danish it was called the Højtonerundspreder.

Re: Se*iest B&O speaker - design only
There are only two speaker designs that i cannot stop admiring, and they are: Beolab 4000 on floorstands, and Beolab 5. The other (loudspeakers) are average looking to me. The Beolab 4000's on the floorstands are the most strange and facinating speakers to look at, and then to top it off, a magnificent balanced sound eminates with bass that seems to come right up out of the floor. The Beolab 5 are just Ohhhhh, amazing. Amazing that that they can look that good and eccentric whist being by far the most competent and accomplished speakers ever produced by B&O.

Not really a speaker, but I guess it fit in, just about. Beosound 1, when it comes to design, it is the best. In 20 years time, people will still talk about its grill, everything with a grill will be compared to it. Its just timeless. I am upgrading now, but I am keeping the beosound one for the kitchen, dispite my kitchen being 4 square metres with my beolabs being about 50cm from the kitchen door.

The Beovox 5000 - the first version with that column of tweeters. The CX100's when combined with the CONA subwoofer. Personally I've always had a soft spot for the S45-2 in Rosewood finish

Re: Se*iest B&O speaker - design only
Henry:BeoCool, where are BL3s and BL9s in your list?!
I thought it was very hard to single out one speaker as the se*iest speaker. That's why I made a list. The idea behind my list was to include one speaker for each category I made. Of course categorizing is highly arbitrary and yes, I failed miserably. I ended up with 7 categories and 8 speakers! And the categories themselves are highly debatable as well. For instance the Beovox 2500 cubes can fit in both the category Auxiliary speakers and the category speakers designed for a specific music system (Beomaster 5000 and Beolab 5000). Reading Beo-ap's post I realised I had forgotten the category of the dedicated link speakers. Anyway, the list I ended up with looked like this: - Auxiliary speakers: Beovox 2500 cubes and Højtonerundspreder.
- Column speakers: Beolab 8000.
- Speakers designed for a specific music system: Beolab 2500.
- Panel speakers: Beovox 3000/4500.
- Small speakers: Beolab 4000
- PC speakers: Beolab 4.
- ALT speakers: Beolab 5.
- Dedicated link speakers: Beolab 3500.
I probably should fit in the Beosound 1 (posted by TheMayor) as well in the new category portable music / speaker system. To answer your question: I love both the Beolab 3's and Beolab 9's, but they didn't make the list simply because I think the Beolab 5's are somehow more iconic.
