Hello B&O experts!

 I've got an Beogram 5500 which doesn't really sound as it is supposed to. There are lot of disturbance noises, especially from the bass. It also eventually skips parts of the songs. Here is a link to a small recording I did so that someone maybe could help me easier:

 The amplifier used is a Beomaster 5500 with Philips headphones as speakers. The pickup is an MMC2 with a tone arm pressure of 1.0 g (I read somewhere that this is optimal for the MMC2 ones). Unfourtunately, not much of the bass noise can be heard since I did the recording with the microphone of the webcam, but you could probably still get the point.

 
So, what seems to be the problem here? Is it the pickup that is bad or could something else fix it?

That sounds appalling! Try plugging it in the Aux socket and see what it sounds like! I just wonder if it has been fitted with the optional RIAA so you are equalising it twice. If not, there is something seriously wrong with the cartridge!

Well, now I played it plugged in to anything at all and I could hear that it sounded the same, so I guess its the cartridge. Or could it be some other problem? For example, the disc is spinning pretty bumpy, could this bi it or is it just the way vinyl works?

There's a good amount of hum, check the connections, especially inside the DIN plug and both grounds. The skips, however, is due to the cartridge being worn, wrong tracking force or the transport safety screws not being released...
