    Beocom 6000 problems.

    Hi,

I have a Beocom 6000 basestation and two Beocom 6000 handsets. They all are the “old” version where the basestation is inside the “pyramide” charger.

Both of the Beocom 6000 handsets have started to act strange! If either of the handsets are lying on the table for a day, then all of a sudden it does not work any longer! It simply looses the connection to the base station. The battery is still fully charged, so it is not due to low or empty battery. When it looses the connection to the base station and you try to make a call, there is nothing but a very high tone instead of the normal tone

When this is happening the only way to get connection to the base station again is to put the handset back into the charger/basestation for a few minutes and then it works again for about a day. Searching for the basestation and try to re-registre the handsat does not work either; only putting it back into the charger/basestation will do the trick.

Has anybody experienced the problem or have had a similar problem? And does anyone know what might be the casue of this fault?

At first I thought it would be our wireless internet who cause some interference, however I have tried all possible WLAN channels allowed in EU and still the same problem on my Beocom 6000. So I have outruled that interference of our WLAN could be the problem.

I have raised this topic in the Scadinavian forum already. No one had a solution to the problem, but two others beoworlders indicated they have the same problem!

    BR,
    Lars.

    Re: Beocom 6000 problems.

    Lars,

Well just 5 minutes ago I answered someone else with RF issues with their Beocom 6000 and based on your overview I think you have the same problem which I have to say is quite common. Have a look at my response HERE and come back to me if you think it is not your problem.

    Regards Keith....
