    Is this a BeoCord?

A Swedish newspaper has an article about DVD versus blueray/HDDVD. The title is Say goodbye to your old DVD! They illustrate it with a picture of what seems to be a BeoCord! Huh?

Is this a BeoCord? I never seen it before but it certainly looks designed by B&O.

Yep, it is for the old video 2000 system. As far as I remember it is a rebadged Loewe/Phillips machine, Beocentral.com probably got an explanation. My parents had the Loewe version, it was massive! Worked quite well, ok picture

    best regards

    Re: Is this a BeoCord?

    Thanks Christian and Keith!

It´s even the same picture in the article and on beocentral/beoworld. Is it B&O´s picture or has the newspaper just borrowed the picture from beocentral/beoworld?

This is what amazes me about B&O stuff. That video is old and you can tell but it still looks modern in a weird kind of way. If you took the paneling off it would look fairly recent!

I get regular questions from people about my Beosystem 6500: "Is that something new from B&O?"

That is one of Nick Jarman's pictures and I think that I may well have that very video player! Laughing
