    problems with MX7000

I just bought an MX7000 and it has two issues, that I would be truly grateful if anybody could help me with:

     1. After activating teletext by pressing the TEXT button, I cannot enter any teletext page numbers. When pressing buttons 1-4, I get sent to the 4 mem pages, but I cannot enter any numbers. And when trying to exit teletext by pressing EXIT, nothing happens. I have to shut the TV off and restart it to get back to normal TV viewing mode

     2. The menu is lacking several items that the manual tells me it should have. When pressing the MENU button, I get a menu with only the items Program list, and Setup. And the Setup menu is also limited to a screen letting me set timer sound on/off, power link on/off, AV1 on/off, AV2 on/off and S-vhs on/off. According to the manual, the menu should allow me to do an array of things, including a tv channel scan.

    Thanks!

    Re: problems with MX7000

The TV came with a Beo4 remote, but now after browsing the forum I understand the problem. My MX7000 is a very early model, and is intended to be operated with the Beolink 1000 remote.

Is there a way to access all functions on the TV with the Beo4 or do I have to get a Beolink 1000?

    /Filip

    PS. Thanks!

I dont think it has anything to do with the remote control BEO4 or BL1000. It has to with the SW version of your MX7000. You will get the same menu using beo4 or bl1000. All functions of the bl1000 are present in the beo4.

    Re: problems with MX7000

From other threads I understand that the teletext issues cannot be solved with the Beo4, that I have to use the BL1000 with its Go to button to enter teletext page numbers. If anybody knows differently, please post.

Regarding the menu, it seems indeed as this version of the MX7000 has a more limited menu, with no automatic channel scan etc.

I will try to get a hold of a BL1000 to find out for sure.

You can use a Beo4. You need to add Page to the List function.

Once done, after pressing TEXT, press LIST and then scroll to PAGE and press Go. Then enter your page numbers.
