    BeoVision 7 B 32"

What do BeoFans think is BeoVision 7 32" 20 month old with HD module upgrade for 5.800,- EURO mint condition and not much used a good value for money? Is the screen quality better as BeoVision 3 32"? Will BeoVision 7 32" as mentioned with HD upgrade (HDMI) be OK for future use (HD broadcasting etc.)?

The BV7 does not have HDMI, just DVI. Are you actually going to get HD? If not, I would keep the BV3 which will have a better picture with SD broadcasts. Wait for the next generation would be my advice. Seems a fair price for the BV7 though.

    Re: BeoVision 7 B 32"

    Peter,

I will probably buy BV7 32" for 5.800,-EURO as I have already sold my BV3 32" which was to bulky for my room. I will have a chance to get HD via cable in Slovenia (SIOL TV), but will mostly look ordinary chanels. I hope quality will not be so bad. I can not afford new BV7 for 8.800,-EURO so I think my only chance is to buy it now 20 month used. My Austrian dealer told me that with HD upgrade he will built in BV7 will have the HDMI input, I hope he can show it to me on Saturday. If not can you tell me if DVI will do the job with HD chanels in the future too as I don't have a lot of knowledge about HD etc.

     regards

i think peter is right. i would not buy a bv7 right now. i would wait some months to see what b&o is going to do about the blue ray/ hddvd issue. you might spend your money on a tv with inbuilt dvd player which will be of no use in a couple of years...

    Re: BeoVision 7 B 32"

I have decided to take the used BV7 32" for 5.800,- EURO as the price is good and I have not enough money to wait and buy a new one in a few month time even if it will have a new chassis. I also think that DVD is not to traw away at the moment and hope B&O will make something so that in older BV7 a DVD player can be replaced with a HDDVD or blue ray unit. If not then I still have enough DVDs to watch on my older set.

Can somebody tell me if HD upgrade modul for BV7 includes HDMI input as I was promissed from my dealer that this upgrade modul will include HDMI socket.

    Re: BeoVision 7 B 32"

I will not wait for BV6 32" as this set will never come on the market and the price would be the same as BV7 32" used I am buying now. There are some advantages with BV7 and some disadvantages as built in DVD but this does not matter so much.

    Re: BeoVision 7 B 32"

Major difference between BV7-32 old and new is the viewing angle.

My BV7-32 - dec. 2004 has a viewing angle of approx. 75 degrees without colour fading.
Viewing outside the 75 degrees angle the image becomes less coloured.

The BV7 nowdays has an improved viewing angle.

And there is something with refresh rate?
    8ms vs. 16ms.
