I too would be interested to know if the TV part of it is available seperately as I like the shape of it but doubt I wiould be able to afford the whole setup - it surely must cost over a grand still?

Thus is it really rare - I have not seen on ebay before?

    Re: BeoSystem AV9000

The AV9000 was a fully integrated AV system consisting of the TV, the control panel and whatever speakers you wished to connect.

The TV part was based on the MX6000 and is the same basic set with a few extra bits such as the stunning design & screen curtains.

The audio part is called the AV9000 control panel and is based on the Ouverture system design but can only be used  with the TV and is useless as a stand alone audio system. One of our members - forget who - actually got one to work as a stand alone Hi Fi but the work involved was immense and was more of a technical exercise to prove it could be done!

I wouldn't call the system rare in particular but then again not as common as other pieces from this era. I don't know if the TV was available seperately, but it probably was as they do crop up as such on ebay fairly often.

    Thanks a lot.

How many could cost the tv and the control panel nowadays?

    Re: BeoSystem AV9000

The last AV9000 full set up (audio panel & TV) I saw on ebay went for @ £900 but prices of CRT's have dropped dramatically since then and I reckon you should be able to get the same for @ £500 - £600 nowadays, maybe a bit less. As with all things though, the market will dictate the price.

I should add that the control panel is an audio only unit and will not play DVD's.

I know, Chris, about DVDs. Thanks.

The question is that I can get one BeoSystem AV9000 and I have only interested on the labs, not in the TV and the Master Panel.

    Re: BeoSystem AV9000

I take it you will have to buy the whole lot and then resell the AV9000 system then? My gut feeling is you would probably get enough money back on the AV9000 to make the labs a cheap buy.

The centre speaker is mono and is integrated with the command centre/VCR. Nothing to write home about! The screen is superb.

You will probably be OK but obviously it depends on the model of the labs (probably 6000's as these were the recommended speakers) & how much the system is going to cost. The 9000 is a stunning design and still quite sought after so with the right advertising you should be able to get a pretty good price for it.

What I like about the AV9000 is that the curtains on the monitor are actual curtains in front of the screen.
