    B&O wireless surround

    Hi,

I will receive in a couple of days my BV7 and I have  already Beosound 9000 with Beolab 8000 and Beolab2. I want to use the cabled Beloab 8000 as front speakers, but I need to instaal rear speakers. Unfortunately I dont have the opportunity to cable the rear speakers.

My question: Is it possible to use Beolink wireless to install rear speakers for surround sound?

    Re: B&O wireless surround

Yes, via your Beosound 9000.  Compared to running small or flat cabling,  it would be much more expensive, but it can be accomplished.

Using a BS 3200 and 4 BL 4000 active speakers, I experimented with the wireless modules first, but eventually ended up running flat cables inside tile baseboard. This coincided with the addition of a Beoport, BL 2000's upstairs, with very good results.

A consideration to factor in is what other wireless devices ( telephone, other remotes, etc ) you could, or would have operating within your wireless zone. There can be interzonal interference between devices: One experience was the PC Media Centre remote would audibly interfere with the rear speakers, and mysteriously open the glass doors on the BS 3200.
