    buzzing beolab 4000's

    Hi there....

I have a nasty buzzing sound coming from my beolab 4000's when in standby. It disapears when switched on and comes back when off. They are in a link room setup. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or knows how to cure it?

     Many thanks,

     Sprkt.

    Hi Sprocket,

have they always done this or is it a recent problem?

    Chris.

The use of metaphors should be avoided like the plague. They're like a red rag to a bull to me.

    Hi Chris,

It is quite a recent thing. It happened a few weeks ago and then stopped without explaination. It has now started again today.

I just cannot understand why its only happening in standby!!

    Kind regards,

Does the buzzing sound like a relay going off and on ?

What are the Beolab 4000's powerlink cables connected too ?

If so this is almost certainly going to be an earthing problem.

Also if the buzzing does sound like a relay, has any new electrical/electronic equipment being added recently which runs off the same power ring main ?

    Regards Keith....
