Risk of hearing loss is doubled when listening to headphones during excercise

This fact was mentioned by myself in another post and i thought it would be a good idea to post this link for those of you who listen to earphones and are concerned about the link between hearing loss and listening to earphones. (especially during excercise).

    thanks for that interesting article.

I'm very concerned about this issue, as i suffer from a tinitus for 7 years now. "got" it after a dave wreckl (rock jazz) concert. does not influence my hearing ability so for (but it sure will in some years), but is very negative in a silent environment. since i have it, i care much more about my ears and i wish i had done the same before

yes, it is the only therapy that seems to work, or do you have any "insider tricks". the only real therapy i tried was accupuncture. it helped for about 2 weeks, and then the tinitus went back to the old level. my doc says there is no therapy to it, and i haven't heard about any therapy that really improves the issue

There is suppose to be a learning therapy for this  but it's all new to me. Mostly I get a high pitched capacitor whine when all around is silent ie. sleep time. Noise, kids, music is the best distraction but makes language difficult since I'm at the one person at a time stage and any additional sounds make it difficult.
