Difference between Beotalk 1100 and Beotalk 1200

Can anybody explain me the differences (if there are any) between the two products? I am looking for an answering machine to add to my recently bought BeoCom6000. Will they both work with it? Thanks for your help!

Very similar but you can record a voice announcement for you friends and family with the 1200. So if your mum rings, you can have an announcement saying 'It's your Mum!'

The 1200 and 1100 are not integrated but are stand alone. In my view a pretty awful product and I cannot believe the price thay are selling for second hand! Impossible to set up without the instruction manual!

I'd always wondered what the difference was!

I have the 1200 and I think it's perhaps my favourite B&O product becuase of the announcement of who's calling, it can also give special messages to nomiated callers and it can screen calls from unwanted callers (e.g. market reseachers!) immediataly hanging up on them! Before i set up this screening we were getting 3 calls a night sometimes, now we get none Big Smile. Plus i think it looks great. I can't understand why it was discontinued.

Thanks for your (quick) advice! I find the prices on ebay pretty hight too, but SHMBO wants to have an answering machine. We had a Siemens Gigaset so far, which had an integrated answering machine. Somehow I don't understand why B&O can't integrate it too. But now, as I wanted to have that BeoCom, I will have to find a Beotalk so that everybody is satisfied.
