hello peeps

well as the subject says..i have just purchased a s/h beocenter 2 from a dealer, now its randomly and not often it seems to be fair, jumps back to the start of the chapter. i have searched the forums and it seems to have happened a couple of times to other people. but is it a "known" issue with the 2, is it a software issue, hardwear, cleaning..or am i going to get the old "its your disks mate" thing from the dealer, the same disks that didnt do it on a DVD1

any thoughts ?

It's just a software issue... Talk to your dealer

I've had the exact same problem with my Beocenter 2. It was recently sent off for servicing, and the technician replaced the entire drive mechanism. The technician, however, did not update or change the software. I'm still having the same problem. Therefore, I'm agreeing that it must be a software issue. 

It is a firmware issue - it will be fixed under warranty - it needs either fixing using the service tool or a new PCB.
