Beocom 6000 handset doesn't connecting to the base.

I have Beocom 6000 (base and three handsets) for 6 years. It works perfectly.. All of a sudden one of handsets can't connect to the base. I tried unregister, register it again. I removed battery.. Nothing helped. Funny enough, when I press intercom button on my base, all handsets (including this one) are responding. Have no idea what to do...

    Any suggestions?

Mine does that from time to time. Don´t know if it just one of them or both.

I turn it off and restart it again. Sometimes I have to try several times.

It happens not very often, and they are performing so good rest of the time so its really not a problem for me.

Have you installed a wireless router recently? My system didn't like being close to that but when I moved the Beoline, it has given no problem since.

Well.. It's been like that for a week already. Other handsets working, base is working.. The only one handset is constantly busy...

I tried to remove the battery, to unregister, register again, turn it off... Nothing helped.

Nope. Nothing new installed in the house. It happened suddenly and with no reason.

You could try resetting the handset - I can let you know how to do this tonight - I am at work and I will need to check the procedure!

Re: Beocom 6000 handset doesn't connecting to the base.

HI, My (very old, first installed in 2000) system of Beocom 6000s also comprises a base (original type) and four handsets. Occasionally one of the phones will give in engaged/busy tone and it proves impossible to reset. I would try turning it off and on, off and leaving it overnight and then turning on, even removing the battery. I would still get the same busy tone. I even tried deleting the handset and reinstalling.

Finally I solved it by just turning off the base unit for a couple of minutes and then restarting. This has happened three or four times now and the base unit restart has worked every time. Not sure if that's the same as your problem or whether this solution works all the time but it did for me!

    Best regards,

    Pete

I too have the original PSTN base and have the same issue about four times a year,  I'd be interested to know if people with the newer bases have the same issue?
