    Beovision 7-40 and Microsoft Xbox

Hi, I have just ordered the new 7-40 and would like to control my Xbox ( the old one, not a 360 ) like a STB. Does anyone know if its possible ? If it is possible, how and do I need to buy something extra ?

Rumor has it that the original Xbox used RCA DVD player IR codes.  I don't recall seeing RCA listed in the US software, but perhaps you can track down the OEM for the device.  As far as the Xbox 360, I haven't heard anything about which control codes MicroSoft uses, and for certain the Xbox/360 is not listed in the PUC database.

It is possible. My son controls his Xbox (DVD player) via a Lintronic box with his Beo4. You will need this Xbox IR-adapter, sorry I don`t know the name, but it is around 10 Euro ( 80 kroner?). You will find Xbox IR codes in the Lintronic database.
