beolab 3: base stand or table stand?

I would like to hear from your experience: your Beolabs 3 are standing on the rubber base stand or the aluminium table stand?  Is the choice relevant for sound quality?

Mine are wall mounted! There was a thread saying lifting them off the table did improve the sound. I have mine at ear level and they are excellent!

I think for good sound the key is that the lense is on ears height.  If you wall mount they should be angled that way.

From a "look" prospective, with the alu table stands you have the 2 cables sticking out to the rear of the speaker and that may be difficult to hide.

    Cheers

My BL3's have been on rubber rings for a year. I've just this day move them to floor stands. The difference is very noticeable. Sound seems to have more range and dynamism. Mind you, they were also configured to the 'wall' setting when they were on the rubber stands, so I've also set them to 'free'. Perhaps a combination of the two changes freed up the sound.
