    Beovision LX5500

    Hi

I'm trying to set up my mother in law's Beovison LX5500 with a set top box, VCR and DVD player.

There are two Scart sockets on the  back of the TV one of which seems to do nothing. I have the set top box working Ok through the TV (but not RGB) on one scart, but can't seem to get the other scart to accept any signal?

Unfortunately the instruction book has been long lost.

I'd appreciate any help regarding the "mysterty" scart and any tips on set up.

    Many thanks

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

Assuming you have a Beolink 1000 remote press TV then Menu. You will see the two AV scart connectors in the diagram. These need to be asigned to whatever equipment you have. For your STB/VCR use Vtape1 or SAT.For the DVD player use Vtape 2. Press play when done.

You should now be able to select the sources by pressing either Vtape, SAT or shift+Vtape (for vtape2) on the BL1000 remote. There are plenty of other options and the LX5500 manual is available on this site.

    Hi David

    Many thanks for the information.

It's actually my mother in laws set so won't be able to check if she has a Beolink 1000 remote for a few of days , it is a rather swish remote though very sleek and heavy, it would be the one that came with the TV I assume?

I'll get back to you when I've checked.

    Thanks again

    Chris
