BeoCentre 6 and a Beolab 3500 click on digital radio

Hi folks, I have a BeoCentre 6, with the dab module and a BeoLab 3500. Now both units and the masterlink have been checked buy B&O and all show to be fine....

The problem I am having is, when I select the radio on the beolab it clicks and then the sound comes through..... This does not happen on the BeoCentre and all other functions on the BeoLab are fine.

     Anybody have any ideas?

Not sure I fully understand the problem, you say it "Clicks" and then the sound comes through, well the Beolab 3500 does "Click" when switched on. i.e. a relay type click, is that what you mean ?

Hi, no it is more a static pop through the speakers, but it only does it on the dab radio not the tv or pc source?

Do you have one of the new Beolab 3500 which has both Masterlink and powerlink sockets ?

If so, is the Beocentre 6 connected to the Beolab 3500 via the Masterlink ?

Hi, yes it is connected via the masterlink. B&O have tested it and all looks well.

Given, that the Beolab 3500 is connected via Masterlink and it only happens with DAB means very unlikely that the problem is associated with the Beolab 3500 or its connection to masterlink. Rather it points to an issue in the Beocentre 6.

Did you purchase the Beocentre 6 with the DAB or was it subsequently fitted by your dealer ?

When you switch on the Beocentre 6 by pressing Radio from standby, doe sthe Beocentre 6 give any noise in the speaker in the same way as the Beolab 3500 ?

    Hi Keith,

No thats the odd bit, the beocentre does not make the noise. Also the dealer has tested the whole set-up with a same spec tv and the problem persisted.

Could this be coming from my digital aerial set-up?

     Thanks for the help.

Think the problem is when the TV goes from normal Radio to DAB the TV mute the sound, the BL 3500 doesn't. Don't think there is anything to about it.
