    BM 6000 Turntable

    Hallo,I have a chance to buy a (in apparently very very good conditons) 6000 turntable, from circa 1974-78. My only doubt is: will I be able to find replacement stiluses? And, may some more expert than me suggest any idea as to how much it could be paid for?Thanks for all suggestions,max

    Hi

     You can buy them new from Soundsmith or you can buy 2nd hand ones on Ebay. Its possible to get a good 2nd hand one on Ebay. Soundsmith have the licence from B&O to produce the cartridges some of which are better than the original but they do come at a price. They will last a very long time.

    Probably one of the best Tunatables made by B&O. Well worth spending out for a new cartridge you do decide to buy it.

    Styluses are no problem and this deck has a built in RIAA so will work with all the modern equipment. Clearly its purpose was to play6 CD4 records but it plays stereo ones as well as any of the 4002 decks. The Soundsmith SMMC20CL will allow you to play CD4 records - if you can find any! - and apart from being black instead of silver, is a fine match.
