beocenter 2200 - is the phonograph output in mono only

    Hi all

I recently got a Beocenter 2200 from a friend, but he didn't have any user manual. So am trying to figure out whether I am just not setting up the system properly or not. I was able to connect the BeoCenter 2200 to a pair of JBL speakers, and when listening to the FM, it sounds like stereo (i.e. sounds coming out from both speaker). But when I try listening to the phonograph/turntable, it seems to be only coming out to one speaker. I also tried this by plugging a headset to the system and it seems for FM, I can hear stereo, but for phonograph, it is only coming out one side.

Is this just how it is for BeoCenter 2200?

Does anyone have a user manual that can show the specs and how to configure/setup the system properly?

     Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to Beoworld !

The Beocenter 2200 is stereo all the way.

Either your cartridge is bad or something inside the Beocenter is amiss. Try with another cartridge.
