rfla necessary if no external source ?

    hello,

i am planning out a future installation, and i ran across this phrase in the rfla manual :

"As the new modulator is distributing only internal signals from for instance DVD, satellite etc. on the RF output, it is necessary to combine the modulated signal with the channels from the aerial or cable network by means of the RF Link Amplifier which is developed specifically to support the new modulator."

in this brave new world of ip tv, i will have no aeriel or cable frquencies to modulate with. my sources (stb, media player, dvd) are all 'internal'. could i then simply send the signal from the modulator down the pipe to my link tvs ?

    thanks for any advice,

Re: rfla necessary if no external source ?

    hi,

post-installation i can confirm that the rfla is not necessary. the bv7 modulates the signal from my set-top box and send it down the pipe.
