    Beocord 5500 and Beomaster 4500?

Just purchased a Beocord 5500 which I tried to connect to my Beomaster 4500. What happened then was a LOUD volume unadjustable by the main volume from the 4500.

    What is wrong?

You didn't plug it into the PHONO socket by chance?

This should not be a problem on a standard Beomaster 4500, as it does not have a RIAA on the phono socket (Called PH/TP2) -so in this case the phono socket should be as all the other sockets. However - IF the previous owner has had a RIAA module mounted, then you can not connect a Tape-recorder to this socket. Try the Tape1 or Aux sockets.

Aaaaah, one of this moments I shouldn't have posted before doublechecking: I plugged the Beocord into the powerlink socket without pulling the Beomaster out to make sure it was connected right..... It works fine with the Tape1 socket.
