    I guess nothing really new for most of the forum members but I am wondering why there is such long lag between fiscal year ending and such an article. Looks like moving the marketing department from Struer to Copenhagen makes sense ;-)

    Regarding Model Apple and LEGO:


    I take the liberty of translating one important paragraph from the DIE WELT article, thusly:

    " Mantoni's strategy is based on three models: The computer manufacturer Apple, the LEGO toy company, and of the motorcycle manufacturer Triumph.  From very different stories of the companies he has worked for B & O a simple strategy: " Leaner, faster, stronger " ("leaner, faster, stronger") is emblazoned on his PowerPoint slides. "
    But once he talks straight. "We are in a situation where we have to make hard decisions"

    Notie that Apple as a strategy model is first and most important to Tue Mantoni as CEO. A very positive and realsitic comment regarding the realities and importance of market share of Apple users, product innovation, and the Apple product quality today, I think.
