Got the following information from Keith Saunders and think this is very interesting also for all others: "The D9, D10 and D11 panels are very similar except they have different fixing and the default picture settings are very different, so, if you have a unit with say a D10 panel which needs replacing, then it is best replaced with another D10 panel otherwise fixings and many set adjustments will need to be done. All three panels are full HD 1920 x 1080 and whilst the D10 is considered better than the D9. Most people believe that there is not much difference between the D10 & D11. The only issue which can effect both panels is a cracking sound after about 20 minutes or so as it heats up which does happen to all screens, but was quite excessive so B&O produced a fix which added sponge padding around it. If you are going to purchase a pre-owned BV4-50, then you will wish to know which panel it has installed and this is best achieved by serial number as follows:- · Units from serial number 20613959 have D9 panels· Units from serial number 20799459 have D10 panels· Units from serial number 21299965 have D11 panels With regards to the BeoSystem 3 there are/were three versions as follows:- 1. Mark 1 type numbers 9600-96122. Mark 2 type numbers 9615-96283. Mark 3 type numbers 7710-7723 Do not even consider a Mark 1 version. The main differences that the Mark 3 provides over the Mark 2 are:- · Capability of handling 3D technology together with a BeoVision 4-85 or 103 MK II· Updated DVI with 2 x HDMI out and 4 x HDMI in that support 3D· Minor changes on DSM and AVS boardThe BeoSystem 3 MK III can be used together with 2D screens e.g. BeoVision 4-50 and 65 by using a HDMI to DVI cable, but without 3D functionality. But BeoSystem 3 can also be used together with video projectors."Thank you Keith for this.
