    Apple TV 1 and 2 Sound in 5.1?

    Hi guys, I have an Apple TV 2 connected to my Beovision 10 via HDMI which works great, however; I would really like an Apple TV connected to my Beovision 5 HD which is currently in our 'movie room'

    The problem seems to be though that I can't get any sound from the Apple TV2 through SPDIF (via a convertor) I understand this is because the TV cannot decode PCM?

    If I was to purchase an Apple TV 1, would I be able to have 5.1 using the SPDIF cable? or would I be faced with the same problem? It would be disappointing to not be able to enjoy the surround sound from the Apple TV.

    In the audio menu from the atv2 you can set audio to 16 bit maybe that helps
