beogram 1700 connection to beomaster 5500

Hello:  the beogram 1700 has rca's and a grounding wire.  The connections on the beomaster 5500 have a screw, but it's not for phono.  Can I leave it loose?  Also, if I want to use the master control 5500 to operate the 1700, is that possible?  would replacing the rca's on the 1700 to a din connector make it remote controlable?  The most important thing I need to know, however, is if it is ok to play the beogram 1700 without connecting the grounding wire.  Thanks a lot people!

The screw in the rear panel of the 5500 (above the "sensor" connector) is exactly for this purpose. Leaving the ground wire disconnected won't harm anything, but you will probably have bad hum while playing the Beogram.

Beogram 1700 doesn't have any remote control facilities.

Connect the RCAs and connect the ground wire, enjoy your first vinyl record, and when you get of your recliner and change record side, you will find out that you dont need a remote, happy listeningSmile
