    Beocord 3300

Can someone help me (or direct me to the right section)?

I am suddenly unable to open my beocord 3300 tape and CD decks without using force which seems really excessive. Advice pleae!

    Thanks,

    Sylvia

Check that the top cover with the lid is mounted correctly, fully aligned and that all screws at the rear side are tightened. The screws tiny washers should be visible just below the screws heads.
Still bad - place a piece of thin plastic sheet or similar behind the "Open" button at the front.
Cut to size and it can be glued to the backside of the button
from below, completely out of view.

I had similar problems with the Beogram CD3300, but only when opening,
the rubber dots where the lids rests on when closed were very sticky so the lid was stuck to it.
But i guess that is something completely different, as the rubber dots do not apply to Beocord 3300.

Many thanks, Martin. I didn't realise there were buttons, which worked fine on the CD deck, but there isn't one in the front of the tape deck, which is fully aligned etc.

    All the best

Beocord 3300; At the extreme vertical front, left side you have the word "PROGRAMMING", pressing the word or just to the left of it should open the lid. This also goes for the Beomaster 3300 (plus 2000 and 3000).

Thank you so much!  All resolved!  That's the trouble with buying things 2nd hand without a manual.

    Thank you again,

    Best wishes

Belated thanks for your suggestions.  It turns out that I just didn't know where to press. (I guess you'll be asking how I deserve to own a B&O!)
