    matching to a beoMaster 3500

    Hi

I have a full (other than the record deck) beomaster 3500 and it seems not too many matching beogram 3500's are out there... so my question is do any of the other in the series (i;v seen 3000s and 3300s) actually match the colour and style of the beomaster 3500 or is the beogram 3500 the only choice?

    thanks

Re: matching to a beoMaster 3500

    Hello,

All Beograms will fit the Beomaster 3500. Technically there shlouldn't be any problems, other than they may be not visually matching. If the 3500 has the 1900 dimentions, you can use the Beogram 2400 series, Beogram 3000, 3500 of course,, Beogram 4500 Beogram 8500, Beogram 9500, even the Beogram 8000 series. All these models has the same slope as the Beomaster 1900/2400/2000/2300/3000 etc.

Corrections: The slope is probably the same, but the Beomaster doesn't have a built in RIAA, you have to use the Beogram 3500 or 4500 which has the RIAA fitted. Alternatively, you can fit an externally RIAA preamp and use other models. It is highly likely that the Beogram 3500/4500 is more expensive than their similar looking brethren.

The Beomaster 3500 DOES NOT have an RIAA preamp built into the receiver, and so the connected turntable MUST have one built in.

The Beogram 3500 does have the preamp built in, so if you connect most other Beograms to the receiver, you will require a stand-alone preamp kit in order to raise the level, and apply the RIAA characterisric to the signal.

thanks... add to the above that the 4500 is shiny while my 3500 is sedate (not shiny) so it will be the 3500 that i need

not that finding one will be easy (or cheap!)
