    beo 5 remote issue

    i cant get my beo 5 to power up. it has been sitting around unused for 2yrs. i put it on the charger today and nothing!  what could the problem....and the solution be? please help

    hm, intersting, did you try to push the OK button for more then 3 seconds?

    I am sorry i am not an expert on this unit but what i do know about things such as nicad or rechargables (is this an internal battery?) that prolonged lack of use alone will cause batteries such as these to fail if these sit these should be on charge all the time hope this helps

    I suggest you contact B+O via their website, you should normallly get an answer with 2 days or so, because it is a straight forward issue I assume.

    well there is no "ok" button but yes i pressed every button for 3 seconds. i took the base station to home depot to check to see if it has a short and it was determined that it actually does. so i'll probably just contact b&o to get that fixed. thnx for everyone's help.

    I believe member Keith had determined there was a manufacturing defect that affected a big number of the charging docks.

    Perhaps a quick search will find the thread.
