    An addition to my collection

Swapped my beloved Beosound 3000, and purchased this second life Beocenter 2, Audio, from my dealer.

Very happy with the look, complementing by Beovision 10.

    looks great

    congratulations

sounds like you got a good deal

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

Congratulation, a true bang & olufsen product. I remember falling in love with it the moment I saw it.

I remember that thing - it was truly an object of outstanding horror, so well done for not finding that post.Smile

I prefer the classics! But if its a dvd one I can understand the need for it, I would love a beosound 3000 that was a dvd player as well! I reckon it is going to be another iconic piece in the future

Thanks for all nice feedback Smile

I´m quite sure I will be happy with the BC2. Had the BS3000 since 2004, so I needed a change.

My only concern is that I think the spinning of the CD is a bit loud. There is a "swirling" sound when playing a CD. I can notice if I play at low volume. When I switch to Radio, the CD continues to spinn. Is there some way to stop the CD from spinning, when going from CD to Radio playing?

Congratulations, it looks great! Was it the one from B&O at Bromma Blocks? I almost bought that one, it was very tempting! :)

Yep, Henrik. It was the one from the Bromma Blocks dealer. :-)

Thought I´d share some  experience after having used the Beocenter 2 Audio, a couple of weeks:

    Usability:

Excelent. Very easy to handle up close. The volume control, using the "circle", is sometimes a little akward. Menus are very easy to handle and understand. The separate box with all the connections makes sense, eventhough the box could have been smaller on the "Audio only" version. Good that you can play two different sources simultaneously on your link system (that I could not with my old BS3000).

    Design / B&O "WOW factor"

Feels still more contemporary in it´s design, than the Beosound 3000 that I replaced. This is very much a personal thing, but that's what I think. If I listen to visitors in my home, the Beocenter 2 certainly have that "wow factor". When opening the wings and presenting the CD tray with light, it certainly impress. Maybe even more than the BS3000....

    Sound

Cannot tell any difference from the BS3000. I don´t know if I shall expect any, either Smile

    Woderful setup! Looks great.

Maybe you could pass along your review to Dr. Peter as he is trying to collect some new content for the products reference section of the site.
