using DVD1 as standalone Cd player?

    Hello everyone.

I'm very new to this. and new to hifi as well.

    I have a pair of Beovox S45.

Is it possible to connect them to a DVD1 using the DVD1 as a standalone CD player? as i noticed it can playback CD's... but do i require a beovision?

I'm looking for an inexpensive way to use my speakers.Does anyone have suggestions.

Apologies if the idea I've proposed is totally not feasible.

No, you will still need an amplifier. You can use the DVD1 as a CD player with a suitable beomaster though connections will be interesting! Controlling it would also be a challenge!

Buy an older MX tv with passive connectors and connect the DVD1 through that.
