Just an idea, since many users are using iPhone (at least over the discussions on the forum). My self, I find this very convenient if I had the forum on an iPhone application as I could participate more often especially if I'm out of the house or on a business trip. Anybody can make this real?!?!?!?!?! Best regards Spiros

Indeed. There are already many forum apps on App store.

These apps take a little bit longer than a minute to make, trip...

There were some talks about installing an extension on the forum server software, that would make it compatible with an App that allow you to view plenty of forums.

Phil, I think it would be fairly easy for you to create such an app, considering your excellent knowledge!! I mean you have created Linkplayer which is a masterpiece. why not this as well :) ???

I second by all means, Spiros's thought. It would be great to have a Beoworld iPhone app!!!

I don't know which embedded software beoworld is using, but for vBulletin, IPBoard, phpBB or SMF there is a simple MOD to install. It takes 30 seconds to install and gives the possibilty to use the forum through Tapatalk application (http://www.tapatalk.com/). And this app is existing for iPhone, Android phones, Nokia and Blackberry.

 

I did install this on my own motorbike forum 2 weeks ago, and it is just very comfortable to use the forum with Tapatalk on my iPhone instead of Safari

I'll see what I can do...

Honestly, I had a chuckle myself... I use both iOS 4.1 and Froyo 2.2!
