    BeoVision 7 40"(MKii) Gefen 1.3 and ATV2 problem

    Hi Hope you may be able to help, Just have installed the following

    BeoVision 7 40"(MKii) AP SW 7.7

    Connected to a Gefen 1.3 switch (via DVI-i)socket

    Connected to Gefen;

    1. Sky HD

    2. Kaleidescape Mini player

    3.Apple TV 2

    Everything works beautifully except that when you select the ATV2 as a source it turns the beovision7 off?

    Has anybody else experience this.

    BTW do not like the concept of the new apple TV at all!!

    Hi,

    I have had similar problems on ATV2 with a bevision 7 32" mk3...   It appears to be an HDMI handshake problem. To fix it I had to power off the TV and the ATV, power back on the TV to the DVI port then power up the ATV.

    I have since tried changing the HDMI-DVI cable to a belkin one and turned of the sleep mode in ATV. One of these seems to have made a difference as it hasn't happened again for some time!
