I have a Beogram 1200, and was wondering if anyone can tell me how (if at all possible) to restore the lid?

Mines covered in scratches and has a few bits of sticky tape marking it. I don't want to start randomly trying just anything for fear of damage, but would rather use a tried and tested method.

So I read as only needing Metal Polish (for cars), normal Car Polish and then a car plastic polish?

Then I assume a lot of elbow work!
