    Close to quad heaven

My Beocord 5000 arrived today and to my amazement it still seems to be working to some degree. Cosmetically it is very good. I am planning on restoring the whole system once the Beomaster can be found.

    So here are the pictures...

    Re: Close to quad heaven

    Thanks Ben,

It didn't go anywhere near as high as I thought and there was no way I was letting it go. It is the first one I've see for a year and I had to actually go onto ebay.de for it to show up as it does not on the Australian or US ebays when searching worldwide.

Extremely happy, not sure about Commander but either way it was a good buy.

If not we will have to both fight over the last one in existence :)

    Lex.

    Hi Guys,

The Beomaster 6000 Quad finally arrived yesterday. The units seems to be working and is in lovely condition however the rosewood has been painted black at some stage. Something that can be easily fixed.

It has been a year in the making this system. Here are some pictures

Looks lovely, just need a decent shelf system now :)

BTW I would like to see the tape next to the reciever to see how (if) they are a good match :)

    Re: Close to quad heaven

:) I have tried it in all configurations and believe it or not I didn't like it with the receiver and tape deck side by side. I will post a picture of it.

The table is a 1930's original Alvar Aalto table, which I have two. The other has a Beosystem 8000 on it. I prefer this look to a specific BnO shelving system.

Out of interest though, was there a specific shelf for this system?

Ah personal preference rules! Would still like to see though. Hey I think the system would look cool sitting off that white wall but maybe that is just me!
