    Sad news

I was saddened to hear today, that Bernard Dickinson passed away just over two weeks ago.
Bernard was the B&O dealer for the Preston  area and had shops in Tarleton, Fulwood, and you may remember I did a photothread from his shop in Lytham St Annes.
There is an article about Bernard and his family in the big B&O book, "Spark to Icon" on page 539
My heart goes out to his son Andrew and all the Dickinson family.

    Rest in Peace Bernard.

I would like to condole too to the whole family.

I did not know him but it is always sad for me to hear that a person that was dedicated to something passed away from us.

    All the best.

Probably like many others I hadn't appreciated Bernard's 'Significant' role with B&O as a dealer over  the past 37 years (despite his dealerships being only 25 miles from my home.)

Having just acquired 'From Spark to Icon' the entry on page 539 makes interesting reading, including a quote from Bernard's son Andrew:

"My shop is my stage and my B&O products are my co-actors, so I have to know my lines. Except they are not lines but me speaking honestly. When the lights come back on and everything has worked, the audience goes away happy - with an experience and maybe with a purchase."

Glad you got the book Graham, and glad you took the time to read that article.

Must see if I can re-add the photo's to this thread. Think it was before you joined.

This is my third attempt at posting this!
