Does the BV7-32 already contain a beosystem3 "lite"?

I had spoken to b&o mothership in denmark who advised that the 7-32 doe snot contain the older beosystem 2 based electronics, and to illustrate the point - the 7-32 can be software upgraded where the beosystem 2 could not. I'd previously been led to believe that the 7-32 was the poor relation as it was beosystem 2 based( the 7-40 having the newer beosystem 3 based innards). Can anyone else copmfirm deny that the picture processing in the 7-32 should be comparable with the 7-40, given that b&o trumpet that the 40 and above are system 3 based ? Confused !

    There's the BV8/BV10 mainboard on the BV7-32, no BS2, no BS3

    YES ? and NO !

Recent BV 7-32 Mk-V's are based on the B6-Chassis
(a similar type used in the BV 6-26  Mk-V and BC 6-26 Mk-IV)

BV 8-40 and 10-40/46 are based on C2.x-Chassis

BV 7-32 MkV is a nice TV and somehow you can describe it being a large 6-26 ...
    - equipped with Dolby as a standard feature
    - having DVD as an option
    - offering the same connections as a BV 6-26
    - and you can order/retrofit the BV7-32 with HD-SAT (Module DVB-HD T/C/S2)
    - having an outstanding stereo speaker BLb 7.1 or a very good center speaker BLb 7.4

But you can't, not even approximately, compare it's picture and sound-processing
to the processing done in a BeoSystem 3 or a BV 7-40/55!

    Beosystem 3 "super-lite" ... maybe ...

These guys need to take the surround sound engine from the 10-40 and sell it as a standalone unit. Call it a Beosystem 4 or something. But it would be nice to have surround sound without having to buy a 3rd party product or a B&O TV or an extortionately priced Beosystem 3.

    Hi guys

I'm maybe being a bit 'thick' - my 7-32 is a 2009 job, would I be correct in assuming it to be a Mk 5 as I am interested in the retro fit hd freesat module!

    Salut

    Hi Tony,

    if it's a Mk V you'll need a type 4488 HD-T/C/S2 module ,
    if it's a Mk III or IV you'll need a type 4450 HD-T/C/S2 module ...

By the way, nice installation ...

    Thanks for the compliment!

How would I tell the mk? - its a type 9344, serial no 1828770,and no 21277893 - I've tried the product list but cannot find the beast listed!

Also do you have a rough figure for the upgrade(euros), as I am about 200km from my nearest dealership (in Rennes)

Also do you have a rough figure for the upgrade(euros)

    BeoVision 7 - 32 MK III = type # 9331-9339, 9341-9350, 9399
    BeoVision 7 - 32 MK IV  = type # 9171-9180
    BeoVision 7 - 32 MK V   = type # 9181-9190

    # 21277893 is a Mk3 and you'll need retrofit-kit B&O-order/item # 1445000

    I could not find # 1828770 - maybe transposed digits ?

EUR 650,- surcharge including 20% VAT for 7-32MK5 with HD-TERR/CABLE/SAT ex factory

Retrofit should be approx. the same, plus labour and SW-update
