    Link speaker from Standby to AUX with Beo4. How?

    I have a BeoLab 3500 connected to an Ouverture in another room. Using a Beo4 in the BL3500 room I can wake them up from Standby into RADIO, CD or A.TAPE, but A.AUX belongs to the LIST and GO functions and none of these work when the BL3500 is in Standby.

    One workaround is to wake the equipment up using another function like CD and then switch to LIST A.AUX GO. This is rather unelegant. Does anybody know a better trick?

    Beolink 1000 has a PHONO button that wakes them up and works exactly as AUX (unless there is a BeoGram around). Could Beo4 hide a similar secret?

    Another question, does Beolink Passive have the same problem as BL3500, or is LIST and GO enough to wake it up from Standby?

    Let your BLb 3500 updated to SW 3.1 (exchanging Microprocessor PCB3) by B&O dealer/service

    It will then be possible to "start" directly from "StdBy" by pressing "A.Aux"

    This update offers also compatibility to BeoLink Wireless and a change of some names of some sources in the display

    old versios -> new version

    A.TAPE   -> A.MEM
    A.TAPE2  -> N.MUSIC
    V.TAPE   -> V.MEM
    V.TAPE2  -> DVD2
    CDV   -> DVD
    PHONO  -> N.RADIO
    SAT  -> DTV

    Yes, BeoLink Active and Passive must have/be updated to SW 1.5 to be "A.Aux compatible"  (exchange of microprocessor-module)

    Hi Vienna,

    Does the BLb3500 starting (with SW3.1) if it isn't connected to the ML?

    In other words if you just put the 230V and press A.Aux, is the BL3500 starting?

    thank's

    Regards

    My BLb3500 (SW3.1) is wall mounted - so it's not easy to check it w/o ML-Cable attached!
    It can be started from Sys-Stby by pressing "A.Aux" and also the Audio-Master will be switched "on" to "A.Aux"

    But I know from similar tests that - e.g. a BeoLink Aktive - can NOT be started (pressing source button on Beo4)
    without ML plugged in - just option programming is possible ... that's a minor disadvantage of "intelligent" products

    I concur.

    My BL 3500 with the v. 3.1 sw wakes up to A.AUX commands from Beo4.

    Xavier, without the ML-cable, only with power supply?

    Thanks

    Thank you, I'll have to contemplate if it is worth a software upgrade. What else does the upgrade buy me (from v. 1.something, I think) ?
