During a family dinner we was discussing B&O, HD, DVDs and Blue Ray, after dinner I put an LP on my BG 2404, one of the little girls (8 years) asked me: "Is that Blue Ray", no I said "its Black Magic"

can't beat "that ol' black magic"
:-)
First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

I like that!
Reminds me of a gal that once visited (I have mentioned this before)...
Walked in, saw my BM6000 and... "You still have an 8-track player?"

A couple of Christmases ago - maybe 2007 - a teenager ( about 14 at the time ) who arrived at our house with Family asked " What's that " as I put an LP on between CD's.
I was shocked - not that they hadn't heard an LP before, or even seen one in use....but that they didn't actually know what an LP was for.....it was simply not something they knew about.
They were fascinated to see the needle drop onto the groove - and then they were shocked to hear music through my Lab6000 & Lab 4000 living room system.....coming from the "big black round thing" as it was called.
A sign of the times.

Hey what a great idea! ok so there are technical issues but I believe you have hust invented the CVD - Compact Vinyl Disk :) Bring on those CVD singles :)
pity the disc was not coloured blue ....... other wise we would have had a B&O blue ray player at long last

10 years ago, I presented "The Typewriter" by Leroy Anderson to my niece, a twen. She asked me: "What does that tinkling bell of a microwave mean?"
